What Our Graduates Say
“I am so pleased with the education I received through the Canadian Acupressure College. Its really an incredible school, I am so glad I decided to go forward with the training. Kathy DeBucy does such a great job passing on her knowledge as a teacher and I feel very lucky to have been part of her class in 2014. A wonderful, insightful practice that started my career as a Bodyworker. Blessed” Becky Pilon 2017 Graduate
Five Elements Acupressure Diploma
Five Elements Acupressure Diploma
The five elements acupressure diploma program will appeal to the individual who has a natural gift in connecting with people and has a strong interest in bodywork.
The Five Elements Acupressure Program is a blend of Five Element theory, acupressure, Neurolinguistic Programming, Hakomi theory, Emotional Freedom Technique and more, where the acupressure points are accessed from a physical, emotional and spiritual approach. Anatomy and physiology, communications, ethics and business courses are an integral part of the program to enhance the development of professionalism and success in setting up a practice. An indirect supervised externship is ongoing throughout the duration of the training for guidance and consultation to ensure confidence upon graduation.
Acupressure is a system of balancing the body’s energy by applying finger pressure to specific acu-points on the meridian pathways to relieve tension and increase circulation. The client remains clothed and lies on their back on a massage table with the practitioner sitting at the table. The stimulation of acu-points can strengthen weaknesses, relieve common ailments, prevent health disorders and restore the body’s vital force.
Five Elements is a complementary health-care approach that views the human being as a microcosm of the Universe through the eyes of Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal. This offers the client and the practitioner a fresh look at the links between the seasonal cycles and their body, moods, climatic conditions, foods, home, colors, and much more.
Through a dynamic mix of distance learning, classroom training and externship, the Five Elements Acupressure program has been developed to accommodate students from varied geographical areas across Canada. The student directs the pace of the program based on their particular needs. Entry into the program begins with the distance learning courses.
Upon graduation participants will be qualified to offer their skills to the general public as a Five Elements Acupressure Practitioner in either a self-employed private practice or as an employee of a multidisciplinary clinic.
